The Run at Rosebank - Summary

The Run is a very special property:

*40.59 Hectares (100 Acres) of magnificent volcanic soil which will grow almost anything.
*It is the “Big Scrub” red soils originating from Mount Warning in North Eastern NSW that makes The Run at Rosebank and its neighbours so exceptional.

Water is a feature:
*Rainfall 1500 to 2500 mm per year.
*Tank storage (potable) 100,000 litres.
*The Western Boundary is formed by Boomerang Creek a major permanent river rising directly from the rainforest catchment of the Nightcap National Park which is credited with having the highest rainfall in Australia.
*Within the Eastern Boundary is Norris Creek a permanent creek, on which the Run has a pump station and 43 Ml licence.

Flora is spectacular:
*Magnificent examples of many ancient rainforest trees including old remnant cedars.
*20-30 year old plantation stands of many species, eucalyptus, hoop pines, tallowwood etc.
*House fruit trees include mangoes, limes, avocados, lemons, starfruit, tangelos, oranges, sapote.

Fauna abounds:
*Koalas visit often.
*Wallabies common but of no nuisance.
*Birds of all types, Owl, Pigeons, Rosellas, Parrots, Cockatoos, Lyre birds, many others.
*Platypus is not common but can be found if approached carefully in Boomerang Creek and have been seen also in Norris Creek.

Businesses:
Macadamia farm:
*2 x Macadamia Orchards totalling approximately 1500 mature trees.
*Of a small size sufficient to form a business base to satisfy commercial (primary producer) status, without becoming a major time or capital consuming business.
